Colour Cards is a small application that provides a specialised colour picker and the ability to build a complete palette of colours quickly and easily. It developed out of our own need for a colour picker for use in web design, and is useful for web designers, interior decorators, programmers and anyone else who has a need to quickly build a palette of colours.

Colour selection is by means of a colour wheel that displays up to 360 hues at a time, and that can be rotated by dragging with the mouse to select the scheme's main colour. Automatic generation of complimentary, split complimentary, analogous, triadic and tetradic schemes is supported. A range of shades and tints of the selected scheme is also generated and offered for comparison. All colours in the scheme are listed together with their corresponding HTML RGB codes. Output in a format for the programming languages C++ and Delphi is also supported, as is Adobe Photoshop. The colours can be labelled for future identification, and the whole scheme can be exported as a comment block to a CSS Style Sheet.

Programming components developed for use in this application will be offered for use separately for C++ and Delphi.

Available Winter 2010.
