Abacus V1.0 - The Limb Volume Calculator
Therapists specialising in the condition of lymphoedema have a need to calculate limb volumes in order to monitor the progress of treatment.
Developed in conjunction with MLD therapist Lynda Carter, Abacus uses the established method of summation of segmental limb volumes as estimated by adjacent circumference measurements. Written for PC's running Windows XP, the program maintains a small secured database of patient details, that records the measurements taken on successive clinic visits, and displays and stores the calculated volumes in a pleasing interface. Reports of patient progress can be generated for printing.
Easy to use, and easy on the eye, the Limb Volume Calculator will be offered at modest cost that will suit most therapists' budgets.
Marketed as limited functionality shareware (try-before-you-buy), with full functionality unlocked on registration, the program will be available for PC's running Windows XP early in 2009. For further information please contact Wit's End Solutions.
